ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION AS

A TOOL FOR CONSERVATION

One of the most important conservation tools is environmental education; this allows us to not only better understand the way in which our surroundings function, but also to look at nature from an alternative prospective to the traditional, to look at it holistically. Through this, we can become people who are conscious of the decisions we make.

OUR WORK

Through this program, we are looking to share with the children and teachers of the schools in the area, knowledge about the elements that make up the ecosystem and how different species rely on it and one another.  We employ a practical method of teaching; students discover and learn about subjects/concepts for themselves during the program.  Another phase of this program is to develop, alongside families, activities that when undertaken ultimately strengthen communities.

Through bringing people closer to nature, we are looking to re-establish the link between appreciation and valuing of nature with the social reality in order to empower local communities to actively manage and protect their environment.   .
